Work progress

  1. As discussed last night during VC. Pages 6 and 12 seem to convey a strong vision (several "small-ish" buildings, organic shapes, open space between the buildings, pedestrian bridges...). Would be good to evaluate this vision from everyone's point of view: how does the open space work (+ or -) from a social point of view, is the fragmentation of the building positive or negative from a construction mngmt point of view, and how about environmentally and from a landscape point of view.
There seems to be a clear idea about the exterior environment (vibrant, public spaces...) but we can't yet understand the interior spaces (are they big enough to generate the same vibrant atmosphere?, is it right to segregate functions in such a clear way as suggested on page 6?).
    Good base of discussion.

  2. FRAGMENTATION in a constrction management point of view is a good way to build up these buildings simultanious and be faster.

The strongest point in this vision is for me the fact, that there is no need to interrupt with a very massiv construction like putting everything underground would produce.
The houses that are there right now could be easily pulled down or rather deplaced like the restaurant.

Also the train and car traffic would not be interrupted by this ideas, and that is very important because it is the main connection of the penincula.

About segregating functions I think this would be the wrong way, because sharing and synergetic effects can only happen, when functions overlap and people bumb in each other in a way.
